The RANGE team is made up of a group of Spokanites who love their city and community. Here’s who’s currently on staff as well as some of our frequent contributors.
Luke Baumgarten
Luke is the founder of RANGE Media and a bunch of other things. He's a lifelong Spokane guy, Gonzaga grad and started his journalism career at The Inlander. He’s passionate about telling great stories and building world-changing things.

Val is from Southern CA and found her love for journalism at community college. She worked in local news for 4 years before starting at RANGE in 2022 and is proud to call Spokane home. Passions include: empowering community, books and crafting.
