Howard Street 99202* ## Spokane Board of County Commissioners *Editor's Note: We could’ve SWORN there was no county commission meeting agenda this morning and therefore no meeting, but a stalwart RANGEhead kindly pointed out our mistake. Here’s what’s going on at the County Commission meeting tomorrow:* ### Big checks coming in Spokane County Commissioners will vote to accept some large chunks of funding, including a nearly nine million dollar grant for Housing and Community Development from the Department of Commerce’s Consolidated Homeless Grant. The county is also voting to accept a $10,898,906.00 contract for developmental disability services, a $18,048,525.00 contract for Washington Behavioral Health admin services, and an approximately $323,000 contract to provide funding to expand evidence based treatment and training programs in local juvenile courts. In a separate, special meeting on Wednesday, the Spokane School Board will be planning a [$200 million bond initiative](https://www.rangemedia.co/content/files/go-boarddocs-com/wa/spokane/Board-nsf/files/CTTSJK72EB37/file/sps-2024-bond-planning%5Fschool-board-work-session-8-9-2023.pdf) for the February 2024 election.
